The Problem With "I've GOT to get this done!"

Itโ€™s the Friday before the holiday week and I know thatโ€™s what some of you are thinking.


If you work in a deadline industry (or even if you don't) you may think that you need to get something done to relax next week.


Did you know you can relax right now?


I donโ€™t mean you stop working on your deadline.


I mean you can take the pressure off yourself by reframing the way you think about the deadline.


If youโ€™re the kind of person who always gets it done anyway, why put more pressure on yourself by thinking, โ€œIโ€™ve got to get this done.โ€


What if you thought, โ€œItโ€™s as good as done.โ€ Does that feel better to you?


It sure does to me. It feels more empowered and assured.


Stop putting more pressure on yourself.


Reframe your thinking.


Relax and, sure, keep working on your deadline. ๐Ÿ’ช
